Charlie Davey Mpengula

Charlie’s areas of experience are in consulting and lecturing in business administration and strategy within the Circular Economy & Greening Business including research. Currently he is Program Manager Asia and is associate professor. He facilitates learning in business administration and is a green business certified international educator. He has worked within corporate strategy, business process consulting, resource development and management, socio economic consulting and structured finance with KPMG, NORSAD and Grontmij.

At Niels Brock Copenhagen Business College, he is module leader in partnership programmes with universities in China (Shanghai, Wenzhou, Sanya and Changchun Universities), Vietnam (Foreign Trade University and Thang Long University), and on the De Montfort University- Leicester Business School/ Niels Brock partnership MSc, BA and BSc programmes. He was evaluator and advisor at Niels Brock’s Business Start-up Incubator and has held Advisory Board representation responsibilities in various boards including the Advisory Board for Expat in Denmark at Dansk Erhverv (The Danish Chamber of Commerce and Industry). Alongside his international teaching, he is currently Board Member for Green Cross Denmark, an environmental NGO, and in February 2013, by direct appointment from the Danish Minister for Business and Growth, he accepted the role of advisor for the Danish Green Transition Fund managed by the Business Authority in the ministry for 5 years.

He has been examiner at Copenhagen University for Master and Bachelor programmes in entrepreneurship and trained entrepreneurs in developing their start-ups under the Danish government funded entrepreneurial programmes in Copenhagen Municipality. In April 2021 he was appointmented as Monitoring and Evaluation Expert for Fair Trade Denmark certification, and is responsible for certifying Danish businesses for fair trade eligibility.
